Partnership for Sustainable Communities Charrettes
The EPA has joined with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) in a landmark partnership to improve access to affordable housing and multi-modal transportation options while protecting the environment. This partnership will require new forms of communication and collaboration between the three agencies. YRG was contacted to plan, facilitate, and provide technical analysis for three inter-agency charrettes. These charrettes were intended to generate design ideas, built stakeholder engagement, and provide technical support for the Denver Housing Authority's South Lincoln Redevelopment project.

What is the South Lincoln Redevelopment Project?
The Denver Housing Authority (DHA) is planning to redevelop 270 Public Housing units on 17.5 acres in the La Alma/Lincoln Park neighborhood of Denver in an integrated way that will promote economic, environmental, and social vitality. The goal is to create an energized transit community where people choose to live to experience environmental sustainability, cultural diversity, proximity to downtown, and a spectrum of housing options.
